….vows to flush out criminals from Ondo forests
The new Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, CP Taiwo Jesubiyi, today held his first Press Conference on assumption office officially, vowing that he will handle the security of the state with the fear of God.
He also saif the command and other security agencies will come up with fresh strategies to flush out criminals from forests in the state.
He stated this at the command’s headquarters in Akure, while addressing newsmen on his official assumption office.
Jesubiyi who is the 42nd commissioner of Police in the state, said under his leadership, the command would review the existing security strategies he met on ground and make the state uncomfortable for criminals.
The police Commissioner who promised to serve with the fear of God, explained that his command would, in synergy with other security agencies, storm forests in borders of Kogi and Edo states
Jesubiyi disclosed that he had been briefed on the black spots and other security situations in the state, sought the support of the stakeholders especially the media in delivering on his mandate.
He said: “I am here with my management team to do police job with fear of God. We will review existing strategy and come up with improved one to reduce crime rate in the state.
“With the support of the state government and cooperation of the public, we will go a long way because security is not a one man job.
“I implore all stakeholders, particularly the public and the media to work with the police to bring crime to barest minimum if at all we can’t stamp it out.
“I have been briefed and our plan is to work in synergy with other sister agencies to comb the forest leading to Kogi and Edo states to flush out criminals that are hiding in the forests,” Jesubiyi said.
