Was it not Paul Goebbels,a Nazi politician and Hitler’s chief propagandist that said a lie well told repeatedly will become the truth?If this is the line Steve Otaloro is toeing,he has failed already because he cannot do anything against the truth.I am not a flippant person and I don’t just talk because I feel like talking.
My name is Akogun Olugbenga Omole,a man who believes in time and season.I understand that everything a man gets is divinely given and no matter how one tries,things wouldn’t just work if it’s not your time. All my life,I have been grateful to God at every stage He has placed me. I have no regret for yesterday. I only have great hope for tomorrow.
Where did Steve, an employee of the party,get the allegations of frustration and disappointment from? How can a man like me who has been helped by God made to be a blessing to numerous people be frustrated? Even when some of my loyalists wanted the primary election to go the other way and go violent because of the shenanigans of those the chairman sent to validate his illegality I disagreed and told them to be calm.
My ambition is not worth the life of any citizen of Oka Akoko. Has anyone heard or read anything from me concerning the primary election that took place almost a year now? I have moved on because there are countless opportunities ahead.
It’s crass delusion on the part of Steve Otaloro to refer to me as being frustrated because I am defending my land. It’s the Publicity Secretary of the Party in the state that ought to reply me because he is a party man and that is when I will know that it’s the proper Organ of the Party is speaking not someone who is guiding his daily bread. We cannot all be slaves to earthly desires that fade away with time.
You do not need to like me but one thing everyone can attest to in Ondo state and everywhere I have been to is the fact that I will say my mind no matter the situation.That notwithstanding doesn’t stop me from showing respect to whoever deserves it. I am the Akogun of Oka kingdom. I earned that title and it’s not just an appellation.
That should come with a price. I have been paying this price and will continue to pay my price for the progress of my people who were the major reason I am a member of the House of Assembly today.
Before we wallow in the diversionary delusion that Steve is trying to sell to the unsuspecting public,his first paragraph should have torn my allegations to shreds.He could have battered me with the truth if I ever lied against Adetimehin. I know truth hurts but it’s important we heal ourselves with it at all times. I expected him to trash all the issues I have raised against Adetimehin.Has Adetimehin not be failing to deliver for the Party in his Idanre Local Government?Did he not work against Asiwaju in the APC presidential primary?Did he not run from one polling unit to another with the hope that he would escape electoral defeat in Idanre? Did he not tear down the party with his administrative ineptitude?
What does Adetimehin know about party supremacy?Didn’t he destroy the party with his ‘jeun jẹun’ politics?.Do we need to reinforce failures?I called him a TAX COLLECTOR because he’s one.Ask most of the Aspirants of the forthcoming Local Government Election in Ondo State and Aspirants in previous elections.
Since Steve has countered that his chairman is the best thing that had happened to the APC in Ondo state, I pray that his life will be run the way his chairman runs the party in Ondo state?I’m expecting a resounding Amen from Mr Steve.
It is disappointing to hear from Steve that I was suspended from my ward.Truly,he drank from the same cup with which Adetimehin drinks.That he doesn’t even understand the constitution of the party he is working for tells a sad story of a round peg in a square hole.He could only be recruited by someone like Adetimehin.I challenge him to go to Ward 4, Agba Oka Akoko to Kickstart my suspension.
I’m speaking the minds of over 95% of Leaders and Members of APC in Ondo State and that’s the truth.
The Executive Committee of APC in my ward has openly denied the issue of suspension in any of their meetings after the election and up till now.They wrote a letter to this effect and over 95% of them that were at home wrote collectively to the State Organ of the Party but Adetimehin gave instructions that none of the staff of the State Party Secretariat should receive any letter from anybody from my ward,but he had to rescind that order when powers above him instructed that the letter must be received and it was properly received after more than a week when my Ward Executives tried effortlessly to submit their letter.How can a party chairman give an order that correspondence between the Local Level of the Party and the State level should not happen because he wanted to perpetrate evil?Who does that?
How long should this be allowed to go on in our Party?
I took my time to explain the terrible effects of the alleged report from Mr Mise, an Akungba man who’s the Chairman of APC in Akoko South West.Although, the old man is neither here nor there as he denied ever writing such report.I didn’t take him serious until Mr Gbogi,an Oka man who should know better harped on the same divisive report to seek political apology for an imaginary suspension that’s not known to any law in the party. I didn’t join the party on social media or radio stations where their supposed suspension rings bell.We groomed this Party from the scratch and turn the Party to what it is today.
Haven’t I been attacked severally?I kept quiet because position and power fade with time.As the Akogun of Oka land, I will never allow anyone insult the revered throne of Olubaka of Oka land in the name of politics. I prefer to go back to my people than sacrifice them on the altar of politics.I have spoken for the throne as a son and a chief. We will play politics later.
I thank Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu,SAN,CON the Executive Governor of Ondo state for the opportunity to serve my people in more than one capacity in this Administration.
I am forever grateful to everyone who made this journey a possibility.
I am in the House of Assembly and APC to represent Oka Akoko.Every other thing is secondary.
I hope I won’t be pushed further than this.
I will restrained from joining issues with anyone again on this matter.The National Working Committee of our Party has spoken and we should all respect that if truely we mean well for the Party.
