…. puts smiles on faces of widows, Needy with 300 motorcycles, sewing machines, food stuff, cash.
….Says “I’m destined to assist humanity”
Drums were rolled out at the weekend as friends, family members, community and political leaders gathered at “Dorian Home” along Idanre- Akure road, with celebrities to celebrate the birthday of Chief Executive Officer of the Home, Dr Tolulola Olajibike Bayode, in grand style.
The birthday which was the talk of the town in the state also featured presentation of items such as motorcycles, sewing machines and other items to empower the less privileged including widows while those who came wined and dined to satisfaction.
At the birthday celebration 100 brand new motorcycles, 50 sewing machines, 50 grinding machines, 50 wheel chairs, 50 hairdryer, food stuffs among others were given to the less privileged.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer, Dorian Home, Dr Tolulola Bayode noted that she was destined to take care of humanity in her own little way.
She said, “This is actually what I’ve been looking forward to do, I want to be celebrating my birthday with the less privileges so that they can feel among. I want them to know that they can also be felt in the society”.
“It is good to be with them, because at the end of the day, they are what matters in the society. If you have everything in this world and you keep celebrating with your rich friends, what gain have you, I don’t see any gain in it, I feel happy and I’m fulfilled”.
“What motivated me into doing this is because, when you look at life, you will see that life itself is vanity, if you have everything in this world, you are not taking it anywhere. I understood the real meaning of vanity upon vanity and I decided that this is what I will live my life for, which is humanity,I don’t want to live for anything else, I want to be for God and for humanity”.
“I’m not doing this for anybody to give me accolades, I’m only doing this to give my creator all the glory because at the end of the day, we are here to celebrate God in me, I’m a child of grace. Looking at this environment, I build it through God’s grace and I’m happy about it”.
“I’m very happy, doing this and I’m not doing it because I want to enter politics. I pray that one day, I’ll have vision partners that has the same vision as me and partner with me, so that we can leave this world a better place”, Tolulola said.
Chief Joseph Agboola Bayode, Celebrant’s father described her as a very pleasant and kind woman who takes care of the orphans and paying salaries of about 60 people.
The father said ”when she started building the Dorian home, I told her that she hasn’t built a house of her own, she said she wants to build a home for the less privileges and she built it with collecting a dime for anyone. I wanted to give her some money but she rejected it, saying she will use her personal money and she did”.
Mrs Ann, a friend to the celebrant commented that she’s someone that can be looked up to and has impacted so many lives. While congratulating her, she stressed that she has served humanity.
A family member, Chief, Tayo Omodara, stated that Ondo state and Nigeria is blessed with a woman like her. His words “she is an epitome of love, humanity and kindness, not to the family alone but you everyone that comes her way”.
Akure youth leader, Mr Tuyi Adekanbi who led the youths to present Birthday Gift to her, congratulated the celebrant, stressing that she has the love of the people at heart. “She’s a woman of great caliber, a good role model”.
One Mrs Olasehinde who is a trader, said that the celebrant is a mother to everybody, stressing that she is an angel and also, appreciated her for all she has been doing.
A representative from her community stated that she is a good woman with a beautiful heart, who regards everyone with respect, very generous and has done many things for the community.
One of the care givers, Onome noted that, she is a woman of honour and of high esteem. “She has done a lot for both old and young. She’s a rare gem, she has taught the staff and children how to love”.
Senator Duro Faseyi from Ekiti state, described her as a strong and courageous woman, “you are doing a great work, the Lord will continue to strengthen you”.
A former Minister of State for Niger Delta affairs, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, while urging her to keep doing the good works God has sent her, he described the celebrant as very friendly and someone whose steps can be followed.
Hon. Festus Akingbaso, popularly known ” Fessywest” representing Idanre/ Ifedore federal constituency at the National Assembly, described the celebrant as a sister and not a politician.
Akingbaso said, “She is a very nice woman, she’s someone I cherish so much, she has laid a very good legacy for the young women and I believe that they will follow her steps because many has this money and they prefer to use the money for something else but she prefers to use hee money to take care of the less privileges”.
A Nollywood Actress, Foluke Daramola revealed that she knew the celebrant through her philanthropical work. She said “My foundation takes care of the elderly ones and she has helped my foundation on this same course”.
“I wish her a wonderful birthday, may God bless her and all that concerns her”.
