A youth group, Southern Youths Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN), has hailed the President Bola Tinubu’s removal of fuel subsidy, as they also charged the President to appoint more youths to run his administration and remember faithful members and supporters for key appointments.
Addressing a news conference yesterday in Akure, the Ondo State Capital , the Spokesperson of the group, David Aladesanmi, said the removal of subsidy had forced Nigerians to devise other means of fueling generators through natural liquefied gas.
Aladesanmi said; “We hereby beseech Mr president to involve more of youths in his presidential cabinet and advisably establish presidential youths directorate, where we shall have special assistant on youths mobilization, special advisers on youths development, special advisers on YouthsPreneur.
“Painstakingly, as a true citizen of Nigeria, we doff our support and appreciate His Excellency for subsidy removal, infact, the removal of subsidy have made Nigerians to devise others means of Fueling Generators (Hydro-Electric emission.
Aladesanmi also urged the president, as a matter of urgency not to forget the pressure groups, support groups and unions who worked for his emergence during, before and after election.
He also prayed for quick recovery of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, describing him as a good leader.
According to him, Ondo state needs a youthful governor who has the capacity to bring rapid development to the state in the next 2024 governorship election.
