Tragedy has struck Akure North Local Government in Ondo state again as the Acting Chairman of the Council, Mr Anthony Adebusola, is dead.
This is coming just days after the Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Bankole Ogbesetore, died last week, but his successor Adebusola also passed away at the weekend.
Sources from the area say the Local Government secretariat is enveloped in sadness over the tragedy.
OSRC had reported that the Acting Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, had paid a condolence visit to the residence of the late Chairman last week before the unfortunate loss of the Vice Chairman on Sunday, July 16.
One of the political leaders in the area and former commissioner for Sports and Youth development, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye confirmed the development. He wrote “It is on a sad note, painful and pathetic that I’m here again to announce the tragic death of our council vice chairman Hon Anthony Adebusola.
“This unfortunate death occurred yesterday after a brief illness. Painful that we lost both our elected council chairman and his amiable loyal vice chairman within one week. Like a bad movie so sad a story. Ko ye mi oo. I urge you all to pray for us and the family members the two of them left behind.”
