POLITICAL VISITS: ONDO NANNM CLEARS MEMBERS OF WRONGDOING
The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM, Ondo State Council has cleared her members who recently visited some Top Government’s officials under Nurses’ political group.
The association had earlier disowned the affected members of this particular political group who paraded themselves to represent the interest of the nurses in Ondo State, due to gap in communication between the leadership of the association and the affected members.
Following the intervention of NANNM stakeholders the situation has been reviewed and the issue has been put to rest due to their genuine explanation and passion to uplift Nursing profession.
NANNM as professional association cum trade union will continue to maintain peace and unity among all her members in Ondo State
The leadership of the association is satisfied with their defence. Hence, the gap in communication has been corrected.
We also want to reaffirmed our earlier position that only the National Association Of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) is legally recognized to speak with government on behalf of nurses and midwives in Ondo State and in Nigeria.
It is very important note that NANNM already submitted our positions on palliative and other demands to the state government as a union before the visit of some of our members to the top government officials.
That we also wish to reassure our members that all our outstanding entitlements are being worked out with the State Government, our Hazard allowance inclusive.
