Emergency Operation flush intervention commences immediately – ZL Global Alliance assures residents
The consulting firm with the Ondo State government on environment and waste management, ZL Global Alliance has assured the people of the state that it will immediately commence emergency intensive desilting and dredging of waterways across the northern and central Senatorial districts of the state.
The emergency operation flush exercise is sequel to the repeated warnings by the Nigeria Meteorological Agency, NIMET and other weather monitoring agencies of government that states should further brace up for more rains as against expectations that rains should have stopped.
The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr. Abiola Bashorun while thanking Governor Akeredolu for providing the enabling platform for the necessary approvals to allow the commencement of the exercise promised that all hands will be on deck to make the channelization and dredging a success.
According to her “this is sequel to a meeting with the Ministry of Finance on the directive of the governor and all issues relating to Operation flush towards clearing our waterways were resolved. Approvals have also been given and I can assure the people of Ondo State that we will immediately commence the process of clearing waterways and river courses towards preventing flooding in our dear state.”
Said she, “let me also thank the Honorable Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Wale Akinterinwa and members of management of the Ministry for prioritising the welfare of the people of the state in the conversation we had. For me, this is the way to go if indeed we are going to record success in any governmental endeavour.”
She hinted that the Northern and Central Senatorial Districts of the state will be attended to immediately while the process of moving dredger and other equipment to the Southern part will also be activated.
She assured that servicing and maintenance of all equipment are now in top gear for the smooth immediate commencement of the exercise.
Bashorun appealed to the people of the state to kindly cooperate with operatives of the company as they do the work in theory localities so as to make it seamless and fast.
