…Commends APC National leadership, Charges warring parties on reconciliation

Coordinator, Advocacy for Good Governance and All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain, Otunba Dele Ologbese has commended the swift intervention of the national leaders of the party on the impeachment move against the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Orimisan Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Ologbese commended the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Party’s National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for setting up a Nine- man Committee to reconcile the warring parties in Ondo State.

The public commentator expressed confident that the progressive initiative embarked upon by the party leadership will put an end to unhealthy face off among opposing camps saying the move will also enhance internal cohesion of the party towards making it stronger ahead of next year’s Governorship poll.

According to him, “this is time for the feuding members to sheath their swords in the interest of the party and they must all come together to embrace peace and true reconciliations for the progress of Ondo State.”

“the Aminu Masari led Committee should take the bull by the horn in acsertaining root causes of the impasse with a view to nipping the crisis in the bud as quickly as possible. The unseen hands fanning embers of discord between Mr Governor and his Deputy should be identified and be prevailed upon to allow peace and tranquility reign supreme in the State.”

Recalled that Ondo State has been put under intense pressure with supporters of both parties in the impeachment saga since the State House of Assembly through its spokesman, Olatunji Oshati said they have served the Deputy Governor impeachment notice.

“I join all APC members including eminent sons and daughters of Ondo State in appealing to our Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to use the window of opportunity opened by the national body of the party in reconciling with his Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other parties involved in the squabble within the party”

“I prayed God to grant our Governor sound health to enable him resume work at seat of power in Ondo State soonest.”
