We’ll provide purposeful leadership for Akoko Southwest Youths —President

The newly elected President of Akoko South West Youth Forum (AKSWYF) Joseph Oguntuyi, has promised to turn around the fortune of the forum by providing purposeful leadership that would occasion life-changing initiatives for all and sundry in Ondo State.

Oguntuyi disclosed this on Saturday at the inauguration of the new executives of the forum held at Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall in Akungba, Akoko Southwest Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Addressing the gathering at the epoch-making event, the Chairman vowed to use his expertise in administration to remodel the youth group so as to make the forum compete with global stardards.

“The Association under my leadership will continue to strive to achieve the stated aims and objectives of the Forum.”

“The new administration will hit the ground running immediately towards uplifting the lots of the Forum“, Oguntuyi said tersly.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), stressed the need for unity of purpose in the development of the local government which is the host community of the University.

He expressed his commitment to collaborating with the forum to bring about meaningful development in Akoko South West.

However, Prof. Ige extended his gratitude to AKSWYF for its timely intervention and valuable suggestions to the University community.

Earlier, the Guest Speaker, Prof. Francis Gbore, in his lecture entitled: “Unity in Diversity”, emphasized the importance of shunning all forms of sentiments.

The Don called all sons and daughters, particularly the royal fathers to unite in building a prosperous future for Akoko South West.

Prof. Gbore, however, urged the attendees to prioritize the future and progress of the local government, while he congratulated the youth of Akoko South West and encouraged them to actively contribute policies that would catalyze development.
