Akoko NE/NW Bye Election: Prof. Ibrahim Ajagunna (PIA) Dissociates Self from Endorsement for Rep Aspirant

The frontline aspirant for Ondo State governorship position in the upcoming 2024 under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, Prof. Ibrahim Ajagunna (PIA), has dissociated himself from a purported claim being spread that he has endorsed a particular aspirant in the forthcoming House of Representatives bye election in Akoko North East/North West federal constituency.

In a statement released by his Media Aide, Tolulope Adeyefa, it was noted that Prof. Ibrahim Ajagunna had earlier yesterday organized his official declaration at the ward level, to contest for governorship position in the state.

The meeting which took place at the APC Ward Secretariat in Ikado Ward 1 of Akoko North East Local Government Area had in attendance the ward party executives, stakeholders, members, and supporters of Prof. Ibrahim Ajagunna.

The disclaimer further reads in part: “However, it has come to the notice of the PIA Campaign Organization that some individuals are already creating misinformation to link the above event to include a declaration of support for one of the aspirants for the Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency bye election.

“For the purpose of unsuspecting public and avoidance of doubt, this latter narrative is entirely untrue. We implore fake news peddlers to desist from such act and stop creating public confusion”.
