….AKEEM MOMOH ELECTED ALGIO CHAIRMAN
The Director of Information services,Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, Prince Akeem Momoh has been elected as the new Chairman of Association of Local Government Information Officers (ALGIO), Ondo State chapter.
He was declared winner after defeating his opponent, Omolayo Monehin, in a keenly contested election held on Thursday 9th November, 2023 at Akure South Local Government Secretariat.
While declaring the result, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Chief Oluropo Ogunsakin said Momoh polled a total votes of forty nine (49) while Monehin polled twenty nine(29) votes.
In the same vein, Stephen Ayeni scored forty five (45) votes to emerge as the General Secretary while his opponent, Arowojolu Olaoluwa scored thirty two (32) votes.
Meanwhile, the following Officers were elected unopposed: Oyetayo Olademehin – Vice Chairman; Henrietta Adeyemi – Treasurer;Gbenga Afolayan – Assistant Secretary; Adeleye Oyewole – Financial Secretary; and Abudu Tamarauemi – Auditor.
The Officers have been sworn into office to run the Affairs of the Association for the next three years.
