ONDO STATE ON STEADY PROGRESS; DONT DISTRACT AIYEDATIWA: Group tells Ondo lawmakers.

The Aiyedatiwa Youths and Students’ Support Group, on behalf of the Youths and Students of Ondo State, hereby issue this press statement in response to the baseless allegations leveled by the Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) Caucus in the House of Representatives in their open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We categorically refute the claims made by the caucus regarding Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s alleged disdain for his late predecessor and principal, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN.
Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently demonstrated an exemplary leadership style since assuming office. His commitment to the welfare and progress of the people of Ondo State is evident in his tireless efforts to address the challenges facing the state and his proactive approach to governance. Under his administration, we have witnessed significant strides in various sectors, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and job creation.
The allegations made by the caucus are not only baseless but also a desperate attempt to tarnish the long-built image and legacy of Governor Aiyedatiwa and the All Progressives Congress (APC). It is essential to note that these allegations are politically motivated and lack any substantial evidence. The timing of this letter, just ahead of the 2024 governorship poll, suggests an ulterior motive aimed at undermining the electoral prospects of the APC in the state.
We call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to disregard these false claims and continue to support the exemplary leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. The President’s trust in Governor Aiyedatiwa’s ability to govern effectively is well-placed, considering his track record of achievements and dedication to the welfare of the people of Ondo State.
We urge the public to exercise caution and discernment when considering the claims made by the so-called caucus. Their allegations are nothing more than a desperate attempt to create division and confusion within the APC ranks in Ondo State. The people of Ondo State are well aware of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to their well-being and will not be swayed by baseless accusations.
In conclusion, we reiterate our unwavering support for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and his administration. We trust in his ability to lead Ondo State to greater heights and remain confident in his dedication to the principles of the All Progressives Party (APC). We call on all well-meaning individuals and organizations to disregard the allegations made by the caucus and join us in promoting peace, unity, and progress in our beloved state.
