Ex-NUJ President appointed as CEO of Kaftan TV


The Board of Directors of KAFTAN Television has announced the appointment of Mr Abdulwaheed Odusile as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with effect from 11th March, 2024.

The appointment was announced in Abuja on Sunday by the company’s Human Resources Manager, Janet Alinwale.

The Board of Directors gives the new CEO full autonomy to set up a new management team and re-organise the company in a way that satisfies his professional needs.

Before his recent appointment, Odusile served as the commissioner for information and strategy from 2020 -2023.

He parades over 40 years of national and international experience as a media manager. He was the president of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) from 2015 -2018.

Odusile, a renowned journalist and accomplished manager, was the president of Federation Of African Journalists (FAJ) from 2016 — 2019.

He also served as the editor of National Life Newspaper and Managing Editor, The Nation Newspaper, among others.

Odusile, being an outstanding journalist, media executive, and good resource manager, will in no doubt assist in taking Kaftan TV to its place of pride in the Nigerian media space
