…..ONDO WOMEN PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN AIYEDATIWA, CAUTION FACELESS GROUPS OVER COMMENTS AGAINST GOVERNOR
Ondo state women have reacted to the recent publication by a faceless group sponsored by a notable figure in the state on the person of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
A statement by the spokesperson of the Concerned Women Group in the state, Funmilayo Adeyemi stated that the office of the governor should always be recognised and honoured.
The Concerned Women Group cautioned the transducers doing poor paid job to desist from making spurious comments and baseless allegations which is insufficient to distract Mr Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa from discharging good governance to the entire people of the state as well as leading APC governorship aspirant in the November governorship election.
She stated that Ondo state women are lucky and blessed to have Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa even as Ondo state women celebrated the best International Women’s Day ever.
“Mr Governor’s policies and programmes since assumption of office have been gender friendly. Our women are being patronized. Ondo women cannot afford not to love a Governor who paid WAEC fees of their children, among other policies to make life better for Ondo state women.
“The Governor’s deliberate investment in education since assumption of office is noted and gladdens the hearts of Ondo women.
“How can we not fall in love with a Governor who appointed notable women to serve in the State Executive Council? Governor Aiyedatiwa made history to have appointed the first Female Commissioner for Finance in Ondo State. He has also promised women a fair deal of representation in his government”.
“We hereby pass a vote of confidence in Governor Aiyedatiwa and condemn in its entirety any incessant attack on the governor.”
