ONDO 2024: Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) Congratulates Aiyedatiwa For Clinching APC Ticket, Calls For Unity Among Party Members, Stakeholders
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has conducted her primary election to elect the candidate of the party for the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in Ondo state where the incumbent Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa defeated 15 other aspirants to clinch the ticket.
A political group, Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) has now called on party members to rally behind the party’s candidate to ensure the party continue to occupy the Alagbaka government house.
In a congratulatory statement signed by the Director General of the group, Evangelist Olumuyiwa Asagunla, the group described Aiyedatiwa’s victory as the “wish of party members”.
“We are excited to witness the credible conduct of primary election to pick the time candidate of our party, the APC on Saturday. It is even more memorable that our members and Stakeholders of the party conducted themselves appropriately. This is what the Progressives are known for and we congratulate the Governor on this victory.” The statement read.
Aiyedatiwa polled 48,569 votes to defeat his closest rival, Mayowa Akinfolarin who polled 15,343 votes at the election conducted across the 203 wards in the state on Saturday.
“This is a victory for all, no one is a loser. Aiyedatiwa has proven himself to be a unifier and an astute administrator. His victory represents the wish of the party members and we must therefore unite to complete the job in November, the statement concluded.
