Ondo 2024: APC Youth Leaders Close ranks to achieve Victory for Aiyedatiwa

After the just concluded Governorship Primary election that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the party’s Candidate for November 16, 2024 election, APC youth leaders in Ondo state have closed ranks to work for the success of the party.

The APC youth leaders held their excos General Meeting at the party’s State secretariat in Akure on Thursday.

Speaking at the meeting, the State Youth Leader, Adeyemo Olalekan, in his welcome address, saluted the doggedness of the party Youth Leaders, urging them to put behind whatever grievances that might have generated through the process of the recent primary election and work for the success of the candidate.

Olalekan said “It now incumbent on us as party youth leaders to work assiduously for the victory of our party candidate His Excellency, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in the November 16 Governorship election.

“Our victory in the coming election is very important in order to retain the seat of power in the state. Our Unity of purpose must be genuine because in unity we can achieve progress, success and our aims and objectives will be achieved,” the State Youth leader said.

In a Remark, the State Party Chairman, Engr Ade Adetimehin, implored the youth leaders to work tirelessly for the party in the forthcoming guber election, saying, “everybody needs to go back to their various local government areas and mobilize massively for the party.

“As far as this election is concerned our party candidate victory is not negotiable because we can’t afford to go back to the opposition. I beseech you to be good ambassadors of this party in your various local governments.

“My door is open to receive any complaint, suggestion, information and idea that can add values to the party victory in November 16 Governorship election.”

He promised to continue to support youth leaders.

Also speaking, the Southwest Zonal Youth Leader of the APC, Comrade Kolade Lawal Paff also eulogized the party youth leaders for their selfless service and support for the party always in their various local governments.

He urged the youth leaders to work in harmony with the state youth leader; “Our party victory in November 16 Governorship election is sacrosanct and all hands must be on desk to actualise it.”

In a message, the Minister of State for Youth development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, who is also a former state Youth Leader, promised to continue to work for the development of youths especially in the provision of job opportunities and youth empowerment.

He reiterated why Nov 16 Governorship election is a must win for APC. “We must do everything humanly possible to retain the state for APC because there is nothing to share in zero.
