
Report says the Ondo State Government has promised a reward for Sunshine Stars players ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League clash against Rivers United tomorrow.
This is part of incentives to rescue the team from being relegated from the league.
The Owena Waves will lock horns with Rivers United at the Ondo State Sports Complex on Sunday.
The Ondo State Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, made the promise in an address to the team on Friday.
Yusuf-Ogunleye commended the players for their dedication, urging them to redouble their efforts in their fight against relegation.
“I’ve come to encourage you to do the needful this Sunday against Rivers United,” he told the players.
“As you all know, it’s a crucial match we must win and I believe with God we shall achieve great results.”
Sunshine Stars in relegation zone, occupying the 18th position on the NPFL table.
