Ondo Information Commissioner Tasks Governor’s Media Aides On Wider Publicity
Ondo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has charged media aides of the Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to work with relevant agencies to keep the public abreast of programs, projects, and policies of the administration.
Akinlosotu made the call in Akure on Thursday, at an interactive meeting with the media aides including, the Chief Press Secretary, Senior Special Assistant on Broadcast Media, Special Assistants on Media, Digital Media, Videography and Photography.
He said the Aiyedatiwa administration is rolling out various policies and programmes that have positive impacts on the lives of the people of the state, hence the need to keep them informed.
He further advised the media aides not to work at cross purposes, emphasizing that the mantra is one administration with the sole purpose of making life better for the people, regardless of religious and political affiliations.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, thanked the Commissioner for the interactive meeting, which he described as first of its kind, aimed at bringing the media aides together and brainstorming on the methodology to improve performance.
He restated the resolve of Governor Aiyedatiwa to run a transparent government that is in tandem with international best practices and free flow of information.
Special Assistant to the governor on Digital Media, Yomi Oyekan, said there is a need to rejig state-owned media organizations for optimal results.
Spokesperson of the Deputy Governor, Mr John Paul Akinduro, stressed the need for capacity building, strategic communication, and regular brainstorming sessions to ensure the public is aware of programs and activities of the governor.
