Aiyedatiwa receives NOA, Okitipupa group, says our govt is open to collaborations
Ondo state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has said his administration is available for any collaboration that will engender meaningful development in the state.
The governor made the statement at two separate events in Akure on Tuesday.
The state deputy governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, on behalf of the governor, received the management of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Ondo state and the leadership of Okitipupa Divisional Development Forum (ODDF), who were in his office for courtesy visits at different times.
He said, “Government alone cannot run the affairs of the state, it requires the efforts of every stakeholder, from the private sector to non-profit organizations, non-state actors and religious organizations, among others”
While receiving the NOA team, the governor applauded the agency for being at the forefront of disseminating accurate information and combating fake news. He assured them of his administration’s continued support.
In the same vein, the governor charged the leadership of Okitipupa Divisional Development Forum (ODDF) not to relent in their bid to support government to emplace a “fully progressive Ondo state, where the economy will flourish”
Earlier in her remarks, the Ondo state Director of NOA, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu, commended the state government for introducing people-oriented programmes, as she highlighted her agency’s role in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise in the state and sought for more support.
On his part, chairman of ODDF, Mr Dapo Iwala, thanked the state government “for the approval of N1.2bn for projects at the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology in Okitipupa, and the construction of Ugbonla-Ayetoro road, among others.
