One Year In Office: I’m Prepared to Deliver More Dividends, Ayebusiwa Assures Constituents

As he marks his first year anniversary in office as member representing Okitipupa Constituency I in the 10th Ondo State House of Assembly, Honourable Chris Ayebusiwa has declared that he is prepared to do more for his constituency

Ayebusiwa who is Chairman, House Committee on Tertiary Institutions, on Monday, made the declaration in a statement he signed and made public on his official Facebook page.

The statement reads, “In the last one year, I have savoured the pleasure of representing various interests, managing the pressures posed by the office, attending to communal and individual needs the best way I can, while delivering on statutory roles as a law maker and member of an arm of government.

“Within the space used, we have played official roles with relative finesse. We have made certain choices that we consider to be in the best interest of our people, irrespective. We have recieved and reviewed criticisms where necessary.

The lawmaker who noted that he has been able to make notable interventions in education, empowerment, employment, healthcare, and community development with meagre resources, said he is resolved to do more for the people.

In his words, “It has been a rigorous route though. One with daunting challenges and sundry pressures. It has nonetheless been a fulfilling experience in the saddle, to the extent that it confers rare privileges on one to be the face of the people, speak on their behalf and run progressive errands in their interests.

“We appreciate both reprovals and laudations in the course of this assignment. We do not pretend to have met expectations- far from it, but we are not relenting. We are prepared to do more for the people, going forward. We continue to crave your indulgence, seek your continued guidance, prayers and well-meaning suggestions, so that we can make improvements in the right directions.”
