ADEFARATI GIVES BURSARY TO 400 STUDENTS OF TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN HIS FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY
The Honourable Member representing the good people of Akoko Southeast and Southwest Federal Constituency, Asiwaju Adegboyega Adefarati, has awarded a sum of #50,000:00 (fifty thousand thousand each) to 400 undergraduate students in his Federal Constituency to ameliorate their financial burden.
Adefaratis media aide, Oluwole Ehinola, recalls that he invited applications from the students of his Constituency in tertiary institutions to his 2024 Bursary Programme. After the closing date, the following criteria were adopted in generating the list of the 400 shortlisted candidates who will be awarded (#50,000:00) fifty thousand naira each:
(i) We ensured effective spread across the 26 wards of the Federal Constituency.
(ii) Spread across tertiary institutions (i.e. universities, Polytechnics, schools of nursing, etc.).
(iii) We ensured over 50% of the candidates were shortlisted on merit.
(iv) Interests across political parties and traditional institutions were taken care of.
(v) Special courses were also considered”.
He further stated that, “While congratulating the beneficiaries, we want to assure the constituents of the sustainability and expansion of the programme to accommodate more candidates in next edition. If you are not privileged to benefit this year, please, ensure you apply for the next one because there will be a consideration for that”.
