Ondo 2024: Senator Adegbonmire hosts, unites top Akure APC leaders to rally Support for Aiyedatiwa

Senator Adeniyi Ayodele Adegbonmire, SAN, convened a meeting of political leaders, opinion leaders, and stakeholders at his residence yesterday, uniting to chart a common course for Akure’s development.

The diverse gathering included Minister  of  Youth (State)Engr. Ayodele Olawande, Member representing Akure North/South federal constituency, Prince Abiodun Derin Adesida, Secretary to Ondo state government, Hon Temitayo Oluwatuyi, Chairman Akure South APC Elders forum, Dr SB Akerele, Member representing Akure south constituency 2 @ODHA, Hon Stephen Abitogun, Executive Director, Corporate Services NDDC, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde, Former Minister of State (Transportation) Prince Ademola Adegoroye, Commissioner  for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Hon Gbenga Olaniyi, Ondo Central Senatorial District Chairman of APC, Hon Festus Aregbesola, Chairman APC Akure South LG, Dr Fesobi Akinmolayan, Secretary APC Akure south local government, Barr Taiwo Kayode, Engr Muyiwa Ogunleye (Bitron); former members of Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Tayo Abidakun, Hon Sunday Olajide, Hon Toluwani Borikini, Hon Olumuyiwa Adu (Cubana) Mrs Olubunmi Ademosu, Prof Olu Aderonmu, Hon Idowu Otetubi, Hon Sunday Adejuyigbe, Prince Dapo Adepoju, Hon Femi Fadairo, Olutayo Babalayo; APC Akure south women leader, Mrs Funke Daramola All APC wards chairmen in the local government and other leaders numerous to mention.

The event took another colorful event when the Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo state, Engr Ade Adetimehin walked into the meeting to address the Akure APC leaders.

The meeting aimed to galvanize support and build a united front ahead of the November 16, 2024, governorship election.

The leaders resolved to put aside their differences and work together for Akure’s development and progress.

Senator Adegbonmire emphasized the need for unity and collaboration, stating that “Akure’s development and progress must come first.”

APC AKURE SOUTH LGA LEADERS AND STAKEHOLDERS MEETING FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AKURE SOUTH APC

The meeting was convened by Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire SAN Senator Representing Ondo Central Senatorial District and was held at his residence yesterday 18th June, 2024.

✓Hon(Dr) Fesobi Akinmolayan Chairman APC, Akure South. In his remarks said the meeting is center towards moving Akure forward in all ramifications.   .

✓Chief S. B Akerele Chairman Akure South Elders Forum:  Thanked the Senator for the initiative to make Akure speak with one voice. 

✓Adegbonmire Remarks :  He said the gathering is not to further his ambitions. But designed for the unity of Akure Community.

He added that he will continue to stand for the interest of Akure at any time. He stressed that Akure most be politically strategic in order to be politically consider.

The Senator made it clear that he is never an obstacle to anyone. “Agitation to become governor is genuine but we must make ourselves politically relevant. Akure  should do away with politics of bitterness. Finally, we must come out massively to support the party in Nov 16 gubernatorial election so that the governor and the party can be victorious.  It is good for Akure to be on the table at all time. The party cannot afford to loose the election.”

✓Hon. Derin Adesida :  MHA Akure South/North Federal Constituency.  There is a need  for love among the people.

✓Stephen Abitogun, MHA Akure South Constituency 2. He described the meeting as a well thought. And the meeting should be periodical.

✓Hon. Oluwatuyi Temitayo, SSG :  He described himself as a victim of political conspiracy. He described Akure as an expert in pulling down syndrome. Akure need a political purpose Committee and communique for a monthly meeting.

✓Hon. Ademola Adegoroye , Former minster of state transport. :  we must have a place where we speak together with one voice. we must have a leader we all respect.

✓Gbenga Olaniyi , Commissioner for physical planning and urban development : he thanked the convener of the meeting. Akure Must have a common meeting place. Akure to be a governor is a legitimate request after the expiration of Aiyedatiwa tenure.  

✓Hon Dr. Adu Muyiwa (Cubana) He has never been disappointed in the Senator. There should be solid action plan in order to achieve our aims. He requested for Committee to be set up for risk assessment of Akure politics

✓Ifedayo Sunday Abegunde , Executive Director Corperate Affairs NDDC   : Deputy Governor is good but governor is better after Aiyedatiwa.But to achieve that, Akure Must speak with one voice.

✓Hon. Femi Fadairo (Fada) Director of Administration to the immediate past Senate President.  Spoke on behalf of the youth and charged the leaders to always carry the youth along in decision making since they are the leaders of tomorrow.

✓Hon. festus Aregbesola Chairman APC Central Senatorial District. He gave the vote of thanks.

Others dignitaries at the occasion are, Comrade Jacob Adebo(Idajo), Immediate Chairman Ondo State Parks Management Committee among others.
