Ondo 2024: NNPP Candidate, Edema appoints Ayeni as campaign spokesman

Ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, the candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Olugbenga Edema, has appointed Israel Oluwatosin Ayeni as his official spokesperson of the campaign organisation.

In a statement congratulating Ayeni on his new role, Edema expressed confidence in Ayeni’s abilities to enhance the campaign’s communication strategy as the electioneering process builds up.

According to Edema, “Israel Oluwatosin Ayeni brings a wealth of experience and creativity to our team. His track record in political mobilisation and youth leadership is commendable, and I am confident that he will excel in this new role.

“As we approach the November 16 election, it is crucial that we communicate our vision and policies effectively to the people of Ondo State.

“With Ayeni on board, I am certain that we will be able to engage more meaningfully with our electorate and convey our message of progress and development.”

Before the emergence of Edema as the governorship candidate of NNPP, Ayeni was the placeholder for the governorship ticket.

With his extensive experience and active involvement in various political and youth mobilisation roles, Edema maintained that Ayeni is well positioned as a valuable asset to the campaign of NNPP as the state gears for the poll.

Edema, who stressed the importance of youth involvement in politics, emphasised that “our youth are the backbone of our society, and it is essential that they are actively involved in the political process.

“Ayeni’s appointment is a testament to our commitment to empowering young leaders and fostering a new generation of political activists.”

Ayeni’s resume includes his tenure as the General Secretary of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) for the Ondo State Chapter, where he played a pivotal role in coordinating activities among all registered political parties in the state.

Equally, Ayeni has served as the National Chairman of the Committee of Young Aspirant Mobilisation (COYAM), the State Youth Representative for the Coalition for Nigeria Movement (CNM) in Ondo State, and the South-West Regional Chairman of the Intellectual Young Leaders Network (IYLN).
