Ahead of the forthcoming off-cycle governorship election in Ondo State, the gubernatorial candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Olugbenga Edema, has appointed Adeyemi Adegoke Alaba as the Director-General of the NNPP campaign organisation in the state.
Alaba, a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience, is seen as a strategic move by the NNPP candidate to bolster his campaign strategies in the state.
The newly appointed Director-General is an alumnus of the University of Ilorin and Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko where he honed his skills and knowledge in the fields of law and business administration.
Alaba, in his sterling career as a public servant, rose through the ranks and retired as a Permanent Secretary, showcasing his dedication and commitment to public service.
Also, Alaba is a prominent member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPMN), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria.
While congratulating Alaba on his appointment in a statement he personally signed, Edema expressed his confidence in the newly appointed Director-General.
Edema emphasised that Alaba’s extensive experience and affiliations would be instrumental in bringing a fresh perspective and creativity to the campaign of the NNPP ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election.
The NNPP candidate maintained that Alaba will no doubt leverage his expertise and network to drive the NNPP’s agenda and engage with voters across the state effectively.

Meanwhile, Edema also vowed to unseat the incumbent, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, at the polls, expressing his determination to bring about positive change and progress in Ondo State.
He also expressed his commitment to addressing the pressing issues facing the state and implementing policies that prioritise the welfare and development of its citizens.
