Agbo Ajayi Condoles With Ondo NUJ Over Member’s Death
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Gubernatorial candidate in Ondo State, H E, Agboola Ajayi, has condoled with the Ondo state chapter of the Nigerian Union Of Journalist ( NUJ) over the demise of a member of the Union, Albert Ojo.
Until his passing, the deceased was the State Correspondent of The Pilot newspaper in the state.
In a condolence message personally signed by the PDP flag bearer and addressed to the Chairman of the NUJ chapel, he described news of Ojo’s death as too bitter a pill to swallow.
Ajayi said ” I received with shock some moments ago, news of the passing of a courageous and dedicated member of the Ondo NUJ, under your leadership, Mr Albert Ojo , whom I was told exited the planet earth on Thursday.
“News of Ojo’s sudden death, is no doubt, a pill too bitter to swallow, not only for his colleagues in the pen pushing profession, but also for those of us who had reasons to interact with him in his life time and people of the state at large that he laboured to feed with adequate report about the state” Ajayi said.
Urging the colleagues to ” please accept my Condolences over the unfortunate occurrence” Ajayi also prayed that God gives the colleagues and family of the late journalist, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Ondo APC mourns the death of a journalist, Ojo
The sudden death of a journalist and compatriot, Mr. Albert Ojo, has brought emotional pains to his close ally, and a vacuume to the media community in the Sunshine State. The news of his death was shocking.
The Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) mourns the demise of such a highly principled, hardworking, and resourceful journalist at a time the State is preparing for governorship election.
The party noted that the deceased plied the noble pen profession with passion and integrity for decades. He exhibited dedication and commitment to developmental journalism.
Ondo APC urged his family, friends and colleagues to take solace in the transparent and enviable life he led, noting that good name endures through ages.
The chapter commiserated with members of his immediate family, the Ire Community in Ekiti State, and Nigeria Union of Journalists, in Ondo State. May God grant him eternal rest.
