It was a day of funfair for the pupils of Pride of Zion (Montessori) Nursery & Primary School, Ilekun, Oda Road, Akure, as the management celebrated the end-of-the-year party.
The event, which attracted parents and guardians as well as invited guests featured fun activities such as a talent hunt, cultural displays, drama, newscasting, Bible reading, praise and worship, farewell songs, presentation of awards and gifts, among other side attractions.
To the school pupils, teachers, management and staff as well as the guests, the colourful ceremony held at the school premises on Thursday, July 25, 2024, will remain fresh in their memories.
Speaking at the event, the school Proprietress, Rev (Dr) Mrs C.M Adeyemo (JP), said the management decided to celebrate the pupils because of their academic achievements and commitment to their studies.
Represented by Mrs Adesola Adeyinka, Dr Adeyemo said “it is note worthy that all our pupils performed brilliantly in the just conducted Common Entrance examination with the best performance of 285 scores out of 300 which is 95% pass mark. I congratulate the graduands for achieving this great feat.”
She particularly lauded the teachers, management and staff for their tireless efforts, patience and love, adding that these have made a significant impact on the lives of the pupils.
“As we gather here today to celebrate the end of another successful academic year, I am filled with joy, pride, and gratitude.
“To our dear pupils, you have worked hard, grown, and achieved so much this year. Your smiles, laughter, and enthusiasm have made our school a happy and vibrant place. Keep shining your light and never stop learning!
“To our dedicated teachers/manageress and staff, your tireless efforts, patience, and love have made a significant impact on our pupils lives. Thank you for your
unwavering commitment and dedication.
“To our parents, your support and trust in us have been invaluable. We are grateful
for your partnership and collaboration in your child’s educational journey.
“As we close this chapter and look forward to a new one, let us remember that education is a lifelong journey. May we continue to grow, learn, and thrive, and may we always nurture and support them along the way”, she added.
In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Rev. Barr. Simbo Oni and the Chairperson, Engr. Mrs Falusi, congratulated the pupils, parents and guidance, management and staff on the memorable occasion and prayed for a fulfilled future for all.
