Prominent Ondo State citizens, including two commissioners, a former commissioner, and permanent secretaries, witnessed the 50th birthday celebration of Dr Olajumoke Bakare held on Sunday.
Among those at the event held at Police Officer’s Mess was the commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Engr Rasaq One, and his counterpart in the agriculture ministry, Chief Olayato Aribo. Former Commissioner for Women Affairs Princess Olubunmi Osadahun and the mother of the celebrant also witnessed the event.
Also, the chairman of the forum of permanent secretaries, Mr. Bunmi Alade, his counterpart in the Civil Service Commission, Chief Segun Odusola, Mr. Yemi Adeyemo PS General Admin, Mr. Akingbasote PS Forestry, Mr & Mrs. Dare Atunse P.S Office of Estab, Mr Ayodele P.S Service Matters, Mr Bosun Ogundipe P.S Wealth Creation.
Others included the Administrative Secretary, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Works, Board for Adults, Technical and Vocational Education, Fadama Project, and State Project Coordinators, among Others. An Akure Senior High Chief and Asae of Akure, Senior High Chief Adegbonmire, and High Chief Femi Bosede, the Ayalodi of Akure Land (Retired PS), also witnessed the fun-filled event.
The classmates of Dr. Bakare at Mount Camel Girls College, the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), and Alumni of FGC Idoani were on the ground to celebrate with the wife of the State Secretary of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade (Dr.) Gideon Olusola Bakare, who turned 50.
Several speakers described Dr Olajumoke Bakare as a virtuous woman who stood by her husband during the trying time. She also contributed to the training of the children morally.
A cousin to the husband described Olajumoke as not only a good woman but a support to the extended family of her husband. He said there is nothing the husband could have achieved without the support of the wife.
Obe, in his speech, said Olajumoke Bakare is a diligent civil servant who usually takes assignments given to her with seriousness. He prayed for long life and prosperity for the celebrant.
Aribo described Olajumoke Bakare as a hard-working woman who gives valuable contributions to any of the offices she has served.
