The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Candidate for the Ondo 2024 Elections, President of WeAfrica Limited, and CEO of Four Cardinal Oil and Gas, Clog Oils Systems, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA), has effusively praised High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo), chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Federal Government for their remarkable achievements in combating bunkering and insecurity in the Niger Delta region’s waterways.
Akingboye, explaining the rationale behind his donation of a brand new 18-seater bus to Tantita Security, stated that pipeline surveillance and security in the Niger Delta have improved dramatically since the firm took charge.
The business tycoon commended President Tinubu’s acumen in selecting Tompolo’s outfit for the job, noting that Tantita Security has “obviously outshined and outperformed their predecessors, contenders and contemporaries in performance and excellent delivery.”
Drawing from his personal experiences in Ondo State, Akingboye highlighted the tangible impact of Tantita’s operations. He recalled that for years, illegal crude oil, diesel, and bunkered oil were regularly transported through the Okitipupa and Irele axis, damaging major roads.
However, in recent years, such illicit activities have been completely curbed. Akingboye attributed this success to Tompolo’s Tantita Security, which has effectively stopped pipeline breaches in Ilaje LGA and Ese Odo, and halted illegal crude oil loading in Aiyetoro.
The SDP candidate also lauded Tompolo for creating employment opportunities for over 1,000 youths in Ondo State. “Through Tompolo’s Tantita Security Firm, more than 1,000 Ondo State youths, both male and female, who would ordinarily have been wandering the streets without jobs or any means of income, have been absorbed with gainful employment,” Akingboye stated.
He urged Tompolo to consider providing even more employment slots for Ondo State youth.
Akingboye expressed satisfaction with Tantita Security’s progress and praised the Ondo State Coordinator, Chief Idowu Asonja, for his remarkable achievements.
During his visit to the riverine areas of Ondo state, Akingboye reported that residents were grateful to Tantita Security for blocking crude oil spillage, which has brought peace and created an enabling environment for their primary fishing activities.
The gubernatorial candidate called on all security agencies to support and cooperate with Tantita, emphasizing their shared mission to curb crime and ensure Nigeria’s safety. He stressed that they should view each other as partners rather than rivals.
In conclusion, Akingboye urged Ondo State youths to fully support and cooperate with Chief Idowu Asonja, the Ondo State Coordinator of Tantita Security, in his efforts to combat crime and create a conducive environment for legitimate businesses and future prospects.”
