NEW MINIMUM WAGE: JNC SEC MEETING RESOLUTION

The Joint Negotiation Council of Ondo State under the Chairmanship of Comrade Olapade Ademola Adeniji, held a meeting on Workers New Minimum Wage on Wednesday, 14th August, 2024.

The Chairman expresses his appreciation to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa led administration for accepting to pay N70,000 minimum wage to the State workers.

FORMATION OF TECHNICAL COMMITTEE ON NEW MINIMUM WAGE
After thorough deliberations and with the collective interest of all Ondo State workers in mind, the meeting resolved to constitute a 9-man Technical Committee on Minimum Wage. The primary mandate of this committee is to work on the pressing issues of New Minimum Wage. Their task will be to carefully review, analyze, and come up with different salary tables after comparison with other States.

This committee which comprises representatives from various sectors, to ensure that every worker’s perspective is taken into consideration was set up as follows:

  1. Comr Esther Foluke Akinleye (From JNC) – Chairman
  2. Comr Adewale Sanusi (NASU) – Secretary
  3. Comr Femi Afolabi (JUSUN) – Member
  4. Comr Leke Adegbite (NUJ) – Member
  5. Comr Samuel Musa (ASCSN) – Member
  6. Comr Sunday Akin (NUP) – Member
  7. Comr Segun Ajiboye (MHWUN) – Member
  8. A member from NULGE
  9. A member from NUT.

APPOINTMENT OF NEW PERMANENT SECRETARIES, TUTORS-GENERAL

The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of the following Permanent Secretaries and Tutors-General in the public service:

Permanent Secretaries

  1. Yemi Pirisola
  2. Idowu Ojo
  3. Olaleye Philip
  4. Mudashiru Adegbegha

Tutors-General

  1. Adebayo Ajimuda – North
  2. Owoka Adedamilola (Mrs.) – Central
  3. Dr. Akanke Idowu Asogbon (Mrs.) – South

The appointments take immediate effect.
