Opinion: Akingboye Well Prepared For The Task Ahead
The general consensus on the forthcoming Governorship election in Ondo State is that, out of the three leading contenders, only Otunba Bamidele Akingboye of Social Democratic Party (SDP), is well prepared for the job, if eventually elected as Governor of Ondo State come November 16, 2024.
Akingboye, popularly called OBA is the only one amongs the three leading candidates with Blueprint to reposition Ondo State, even the incumbent Governor, who got to the throne by luck is not as prepared as Otunba Bamidele Akingboye, as, up till now, has not told the people of the state what he would do if re-elected, but busy changing our allocation to dollars through his bureau de-change outlet. I will be wasting my time if I write about the PDP Governorship Candidate who never knew what blueprint is, talk less of having one.
These two candidates, who are opportunists in getting their party tickets to run for the governorship election have never been a successful entrepreneur or accomplished businessmen in their entire lives unlike Otunba Bamidele Akingboye who has been in business for close to four decades. He’s well prepared and ready to take the state to the promised land.
With 10 Point people-oriented agenda, which will provide the framework to create a future-ready Ondo State with pride and dignity, Otunba Bamidele Akingboye is fully ready and prepared for the great tasks ahead.
I know after reading this, the other two candidates will hurriedly put some trash on paper as their own blueprint. However, Otunba Akingboye is eagerly and anxiously waiting for an avenue where he would engage the other two candidates in a televised political debate with a view to showcasing what each of them has for Ondo State.
Going through Akingboye’s 10-point agenda of Security, Infrastructure, Power, Job and Wealth creation, Agriculture, Tourism, Health, Education, Research and technology, one will have no doubt in his mind that Otunba Bamidele Akingboye of Social Democratic Party (SDP) is the alternative to bad rubbish.
I believe, with his blueprint agenda for the state, he would not even campaign for second term as the people of the state will ask for his continuity in office, having seeing what good goverance is all about.
