The Ondo Reform Vanguard has asserted that the activities of the consultant, God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise, within government reserves are both fraudulent and illegal.
The group had previously called on the state government to investigate what it described as fraudulent practices and irregularities occurring in the government forest reserves.
The company involved, God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise, had earlier issued a rejoinder through its CEO, Mr. Femi Ajayi ‘Alabora’, stating that the company’s activities within the government forest reserves are authorised by the Ministry of Agriculture and other appropriate government agencies.
However, in a communique issued on Monday in Akure by its Publicity Secretary, Comr. Okeowo Olabode, the group maintained that the company’s operations lack accountability, claiming that the payment system is not structured to generate income for the state.
“God Lovely Nigeria Enterprise is operating within the government reserves to carry out illegal activities, which will negatively affect the state’s IGR,” the group stated.
It challenged Mr. Femi Ajayi ‘Alabora’ to make public the documents supporting his consultancy activities within the government reserves, stressing that “Alabora should present to the public the documents he obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the payment schedule from the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service, or any MOU.”
The group urged the farmers and investors in the government reserves to be vigilant so they do not fall victim to fraud or scams.
