Some suspects have been arrested and paraded by the Nigeria Police especially in connection with the alleged killer of a popular caterer, Mrs. Adene Iyabode Deborah and a hunter who shot his colleague over a mother of three children.
Parading the suspects at the Police State Headquarters in Akure, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Abayomi Oladipo said a 17-year-old Philip Emmanuel, a trusted employee of the late Caterer was arrested for allegedly killing her in the bedroom along Oda road in Akure with the collaboration of her driver who is now at large.
The Police Commissioner also paraded a 38year-old hunter, Joseph Ajegba, who shot a colleague while having sex with his woman friend at her house in Ikun Akoko two weeks ago.
The Police boss who said the victim survived the gunshot, also paraded some suspects who specialised in car and Okada snatching as well as possession of illegal fire arms.
“ARREST OF SUSPECT OF ATTEMPTED MURDER: On the 23rd of August, 2024 at about 2300hrs, a case of Attempted Murder was reported to the Police, the victim went to his friend who is a divorcee in her house.
“One, Ajegba Joseph ‘m’, an hunter aged 38years who is also having an affair with the woman went to visit her on the same day in possession of an unlicensed single barrel gun.
“However, upon sighting the victim with the woman in bed, the suspect shot the victim through the window side. The suspect was arrested and the barrel gun recovered with an expended cartridge, while the victim rescued by the Police is currently recuperating at the hospital,” the Police Commissioner said.
The suspect, Ajegba who admitted to have used an unlicensed single barrel gun, to shot the victim through window on sighting him with the divorced mother of three in the bed.
