HON AJOBIEWE ORGANIZES 3RD EDITION OF FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH IN HONOR OF GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA

In a laudable effort to promote health and well being in Akoko Southwest Local Government, Hon. Ajobiewe David, Special Assistant to the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the Akoko Southwest LG Director for LACO-FSIC, has once again demonstrated his commitment to improving the lives of the people.
The 3rd edition of the free medical outreach, titled
“AIYEDATIWA FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH,”
will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2024, at the Town Hall in Oka Akoko, Akoko Southwest LG.
This year’s outreach is dedicated to Governor Aiyedatiwa, in recognition of his numerous achievements in empowerment, job creation, and impactful projects across the state.
The outreach aims to extend healthcare to the underprivileged, many of whom face financial barriers in accessing medical services. Hon. Ajobiewe has expressed his joy in giving back to the community, as health is a top priority for sustainable development.
The event will feature 10 teams of qualified medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, who will provide a range of services to participants. These services include:
(1) Free Medical Laboratory Tests
(2) Free Drugs
(3) Consultations and Treatments
(4) Health Education Talks
The outreach is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and continue through the evening, allowing ample time for residents from all communities to benefit. Hon. Ajobiewe has called on Leaders and community Rulers to spread the word and encourage residents to take full advantage of the services.
Acknowledging the financial challenges faced by many residents in accessing healthcare, Hon. Ajobiewe emphasized the importance of this initiative. “Health is wealth, and some of our people in this local government cannot afford hospital visits for diagnosis and treatment. This outreach will help reduce sudden deaths in our society by offering free medical services to those in need.”
In cases where certain illnesses cannot be fully addressed during the outreach, patients will be referred to Iwaro General Hospital, with Hon. Ajobiewe pledging to cover the medical bills.
Looking ahead, the planning committee of the outreach has promised to continue this initiative on an annual basis, providing long-term healthcare support for the people of Akoko Southwest. Hon. Ajobiewe also urged residents to continue supporting Governor Aiyedatiwa, praising the governor’s leadership and vision for taking Ondo State to greater heights.
This noble initiative reflects a commitment to public service, healthcare accessibility, and the well-being of the citizens of Akoko Southwest LG in Ondo State.
