ONDO GOV POLL: IREKARI LCDA BOSS, ADEKUNLE INTENSIFIES EFFORT AT SECURING VICTORY FOR AIYEDATIWA
The Chairman of Irekari Local Government Development Area of Ondo State (LCDA) Hon. (Prince) Dennis Adekunle has continued to drum full support for the victory of Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa in his domain.
In a house-to-house campaign to fly the kite of the party and that of Aiyedatiwa high in the area, the LCDA boss described Aiyedatiwa as fancied personality and a man to be with anywhere, anytime and any day.
According to him, the house-to-house campaign became necessary to let the people know that Aiyedatiwa is a listening leader, very compassionate, kind hearted and caring governor whose administration has touched so many lives across the state.
As he puts it, “since he assumed office on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 as the executive governor of the state, he has made several strides which includes :-
- Renovation of about 900 classrooms in public primary schools across the state.
- Approved N1.2billion for the completion of the abandoned projects at Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology Okitipupa.
- Directed all the contractors handling state road projects in back to sites.
- In addition, he approved rehabilitation of about 60km of rural roads of which efforts are on to include that of Oba/Ikun/Afo/ Idoani.
- Flagged-off payment of payment of N335million scholarship and bursaries for ondo state students.
- Launched the state ICT Technical Working Group (TWG) to drive technology development.
- Approved the payment of N2.3billion pensions and gratuities areas to retirees
- And the recent appointment of of 344 SA & SSA in all the wards across the state is to further testimony of his quest to bring governance closer to grassroots”.
While commending the Governor for displaying high level of uncommon ethos and leadership qualities for allowing LCDA to stay, the chairman said a vote for Aiyedatiwa is a vote for more rural transformation and development.
Some members of the party while confirming that Irekari is a political strong hold of APC equally testified to the recent employment of some youths by the Governor as one of his legendary achievements.
They however appealed to the him to passionately look into Oba/Ikun/ Afo/Idoani road which has become a nightmare.
The road which is the only alternative route to Idoani, Idogun and Imeri has been cut off while Ipele/ Idoani/ Isua Akoko road has been completely abandoned due to it dilapidating and terrible condition.
