ODHA CONDOLES FAMILIES OF LATE FORMER LAWMAKERS.
Members of the Ondo State House of Assembly have expressed condolence over the death of two former lawmakers, Honourable Adams Adekanye Fatai from Akoko North-West 2 Constituency and Honourable Bolodeoku Igbekele who represented the people of Ese Odo Constituency.
Expressing this during a special plenary sitting in honour of the duo,held at the House of Assembly Complex today,the Speaker of the House,Rt.Hon(Chief) Olamide Oladiji sympathized with the families of the former legislatures,saying that their robust contributions to legislative matters would not be forgotten in a haste.
Earlier, the House majority leader, Honourable Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi had moved the motion for the lawmakers to pay tributes to the deceased, appreciating their various contributions to humanity while on earth.
In his contribution, the former Speaker of the 6th House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Bakitta Bello, described the late lawmakers as peaceful and dedicated members that gave their best during their life time.
The Honourable members representing Akoko North-West 2 Constituency, Honourable (Barr)Afe Felix and Hon.Allen Olwatoyin from Ese Odo Constituency, lauded the former late legislatures for their various contributions to the overall development of Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole while on earth.
The Speaker of the House who appreciated other lawmakers for paying the late legislatures their last respects, prayed to God to Grant the departed souls external rest.
Late Honourable Fatai died on 14th February,2024 at the age of 56, while Hon.Bolodeoku passed on to glory on 23rd July,2024 at the age of 55.
