Barr. Adesuyi Daramola appointed Chairman of Ondo Zone Athletics Association

***Pledges to drive collaboration and opportunities through sports

The Ondo Zone Athletics Association has deemed it fit to announced the appointment of Barr Adesuyi Daramola as its new Chairman in recognition of his unwavering commitment, encouragement and contributions to the development of sports at the grassroots.

According to the leadership of Ondo Zone of the association which comprises Ondo West, Ondo East, Ile-oluji/ Okeigbo, and Odigbo who acknowledged the Ondo-born lawyer and renowned community development enthusiast for bringing his wealth of experience in grassroots engagement, community interventions, encouragement of young people to aspire for a better future, particularly in quality access to education, health initiatives into grassroots development of sports in the region.

While accepting the appointment, the founder of Daramola Adesuyi Foundation (DAF), expressed his appreciation to the leadership of association for spotting out his little contributions to the sports development and promised to redouble his commitment to leveraging his experience towards the advancement of education and sporting development in Ondo State in general.

The popular Ondo born youths advocate, while equally highlighted the strong link between sports and education, noted that sports serves as a critical component of the holistic development of young people as he vowed to rededicate his God given strength and experience to the promotion of grassroots sports in Ondo Zone region and ensuring creation of more opportunities for Ondo youths in sports.

His vision for the association is to plan and drive forward initiatives aimed at improving athletic engagement across the region of the Zone and focus on empowering young athletes through programs that will combine sports, learning and creating a supportive environment where youths can thrive, both in the field of play and in the classroom.
