The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has faulted claims by leaders and Governors under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who are demanding the replacement of its Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Ondo State because she is an indigene of Ondo state.
The PDP had, through governor Sheyi Makinde of Oyo state and the PDP candidate, Agboola Ajayi, during the party’s Ondo state governorship campaign flagoff held in Akure today, alleged that Mrs. Toyin Babalola, the INEC REC is from Ondo state and she would not be fair to all parties.
However investigation by SUNSHINETRUTH News indicates that Babalola is from Ekiti State though her parents are residing in Ondo State.
