…….As WORKERS APPLAUD GOV. AIYEDATIWA FOR FULFILLING THE PROMISE ON 2024 LEAVE BONUS
Workers in Ondo State have expressed appreciation to the State Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa keeping to his promise to pay the Year 2024 Leave Bonus.
Speaking on the development in his office in Akure, the State Capital, the Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, thanked the Governor for effecting the payment of the 2024 Leave Bonus even before the end of the year.
He said the manifest commitment of Governor Aiyedatiwa to workers’ welfare is legendary, owing no promotion nor salary arrears.
The Head of Service further stated that requisite preliminary works are being concluded for the payment of the newly approved ₦73,000.00 minimum wage by the state.
It would be recalled that the Governor, last Wednesday, at a ceremony announced the immediate payment of the Leave Bonus and the approval of a New Minimum Wage of ₦73,000.00 for workers in the state.
Meanwhile, highly elated workers across the MDAs were seen celebrating the development at press time, praising Mr Governor both for the payment of the 2024 Leave Bonus and the new minimum wage.
