Ondo Guber poll: Interest Groups Campaign Committee targets 700,000 votes for Aiyedatiwa

Interest groups which cuts across different sectors such as Traditional Rulers committee, Farmers Congress, Non Indigenes, members of Odua, Hausa, Igbira, and Niger Delta communities as well as Okada riders, Teachers group, Doctors and Nurses, People Living With Disabilities, Religious groups, Landlord Associations and Diaspora interest among others were on Monday, October 21st, 2024 inaugurated to deliver 700,000 votes for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa during the November 16th governorship polls in the state.

The chairman of the Special Interest committee under the Campaign Council, Prince Biyi Poroye said the target is to deliver record votes for Governor Aiyedatiwa during the November 16, 2024 governorship election.

Poroye noted that the APC must win the election brilliantly and fairly.

On his part, the Governor who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami mni particularly appreciated the chairman of the special interest committee, Prince Biyi Poroye for coming up with the initiative just as he thanked those who supported the cause with their finances.

He also emphasized the need for members to double their efforts in mobilizing voters and educating them on the need to collect their PVCs.

Aiyedatiwa enjoined members of the special interest group to go back to their respective wards and units to canvass votes in order to achieve the target of 700,000 votes.

The Governor said APC will redefine Ondo politics and make a bold statement with the coming elections stressed that the opposition parties have already been decimated.

At the event also was the State chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Engr. Ade Adetimehin who said records shows that Ondo State has over 2million registered voters and getting 700,000 votes is possible if all hands are on deck.

He said APC has the crowd and the capacity to deliver as there is nothing to share in zero.

Adetimehin further assured that every member who genuinely works for the party to win will be rewarded.

In his charge also, Hon. Jimi Odimayo urged members to go all out and deliver votes for Gov. Aiyedatiwa.

In a separate remark, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan said the special interest group is very vital towards winning the Nov. 16th governorship election.

He urged them to embark on massive campaign among the electorate as the candidate of the party, Hon. Aiyedatiwa will deliver good dividends of democracy.

The major highpoint of the event is the unveiling of 700, 000 face caps for 700,000 votes during the November 16th polls by the Deputy Governor.

Earlier in his address, the chairman of the Special Interest committee, Hon..Biyi Poroye said strategy is already in place and all that is required by members is to put in a little more effort.

He admonished them to go all out during Saturday landlord meetings to unveil plans of the present administration to the residents of the state just as he stressed the need to bring more people into the fold.

The event among others afforded different groups the opportunity to endorse the candidacy of Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the best choice in the November governorship polls.
