Ondo Nurses withdraw strike threat, relax 15days ultimatum

NANNM RELAXES 15 DAYS ULTIMATUM….. to give more room for robust negotiation.

Following the emergency meeting of the State Executive Council of NANNM, Ondo State Council, held today 22nd October 2024, to review the 15 days ultimatum issued to the State government on the 8th October 2024 over the Eight points demand; the SEC in session having reviewed the progress made so far with the negotiation, has unanimously agreed to relax the ultimatum.

In recognition of the positive responses from the ongoing discussions with the state government, the Executive Council, after careful deliberation, has extended goodwill and patience towards the government by allowing ample time for the completion of the negotiation process and the implementation of agreements reached.

This decision is borne out of respect for the negotiation process and our commitment to a harmonious working relationship.

We wish to state categorically that His Excellency, the Governor of Ondo State, remains a father to all nurses. We acknowledge the efforts of his administration in addressing the concerns of our members, and we are optimistic that the final outcome will be in the best interest of all parties involved.

We take this opportunity to express our deep appreciation to all members of NANNM Ondo State Council for their unwavering support, patience, and trust during this period. Your solidarity has been invaluable, and we urge you to remain steadfast as we navigate this critical phase.

In light of the above, the earlier 15-day ultimatum issued by the association is hereby relaxed to allow for the smooth conclusion of the ongoing negotiations. We remain committed to keeping all our members informed as further developments unfold.
