Ondo Guber: I don’t need Aiyedatiwa’s huge N1.2B security vote —PDP Candidate, Agboola campaigns in Akure North

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and former governor of Ondo State, Agboola Ajayi has promised to strengthen the state Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, to boost the protection of life and property across the state.

He declared that he would fight kidnapping and other crimes in forest reserves and farmsteads in the state if elected on November 16.

Agboola Ajayi, who went to Iju and Ita-Ogbolu in Akure North Local Government Area of the state to campaign to the people ahead of the November 16 off-circle gubernatorial election, assured the people of flushing out criminals from the forests and other hideouts.

He lamented the setback in the socio-economic development of the state, Ajayi assured that he has really prepared to take the state out of the woods.

“We are going to strengthen the Amotekun, we will create forest guards that would work together with Amotekun Corps in all the forests across the state. We will end kidnapping and our farmers will be able to go to farms with peace of mind. We will empower the farmers.

“I was one of those who created Amotekun, so we have ways to reshape it. We will end kidnapping in this state and our farmers will be empowered so that food would be sufficient across the state.

“If I get to power, we will form policies to develop the state. Within 10 months, we will change things for the better. We know how to run the government. We won’t be wasting time before we kick start our programmes. APC has destroyed the country, they have caused hunger, so let us vote for PDP. I will ensure free and affordable education. We will employ more teachers.

“Governor Aiyedatiwa is collecting N1.2 billion security votes monthly, I don’t need that much money for security. In that money, I will take about N600 million from it to create employment, if there are employments for the youths, crimes would be reduced drastically,” Ajayi said.

Addressing the people of the communities, Engr. Clement Faboyede, the Director-General of the PDP Campaign Organisation, urged them to go INEC office in their local council to collect their Permanent Voter Cards so that they could vote for PDP on the election day.

He said: “Please go and get your PVCs to enable you to vote to chase the APC out of power. This is the only power you have to send them (APC) away.

“We know how hard the country has turned to under the APC government and the only way to send them away is to go out on November 16 to vote for the PDP. Make sure you protect your votes. Don’t allow them to steal your votes.”

The PDP campaign train also visited Imafon, Oba-Ile, Ala, Igoba and other communities in Akure North Local Government Area.
