Ondo Governor’s Aide, Ajobiewe donates First Salary to Akoko community

…..Calls for prayers and Support for Aiyedatiwa in Upcoming Election.

Hon. David Ajobiewe, Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, made a remarkable gesture on Saturday as he gathered community elders, chiefs, and residents at the revered Arigidi tree in Korowa Oka Akoko, donating his entire first salary to the community.

This gathering held significant weight, as it took place beneath the historic Arigidi tree, a spiritual landmark believed to be the foundation of Korowa Oka Akoko and known as a place where prayers are answered.

At historic Arigidi tree, Hon. David Ajobiewe rallies Korowa Oka Akoko community, pledging support for Ondo State Governor Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s election while elders and youth unite in a traditional blessing ceremony.

Hon. Ajobiewe, a native of Korowa, was appointed Special Assistant to the Governor just a month ago. This act of generosity comes as a powerful statement of his dedication to his roots, as he requested the Ihare; the respected elders and chiefs of the community to pray for his boss, Governor Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the November 16, 2024, gubernatorial election.

Ajobiewe called upon the community to back the All Progressives Congress (APC) and lend their support in the upcoming election, urging all voting units within Korowa to cast their votes for the governor.

The prayers, conducted in the traditional manner were led by Chief Patrick Aroge, the Asalu of Korowa of Oka Land. Expressing his gratitude, Chief Aroge commended Hon. Ajobiewe’s selfless act, noting that this was the first time a community member had ever donated an entire monthly salary to benefit the people. He, along with Dr. Pius Abosede, Chief Oru of Ejo Mefa of Korowa, and Chief OLUMOGUN, pledged support for Aiyedatiwa’s campaign.

Chief OLUMOGUN vowed that the community’s votes would indeed go to the APC, while Chief Oru reaffirmed the commitment to secure every polling unit within Korowa for the party. Following the event, jubilant youths accompanied Hon. Ajobiewe back to his residence, singing praises for Aiyedatiwa and celebrating the unity and renewed commitment of Korowa Oka Akoko to APC’s cause.

This ceremony underscored not only Ajobiewe’s loyalty to his community and governor but also highlighted the deep-rooted cultural and spiritual traditions that bind the people of Korowa Oka Akoko.

As the November election approaches, the solidarity displayed at the Arigidi tree could play a crucial role in mobilizing the community’s support for Governor Aiyedatiwa’s election campaign, a move that many believe will usher in a brighter future for Ondo State.
