Anglican Church honours Akogun Olugbenga Omole, Abegunde Abena, others

The Church Of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Diocese Of Akure, has honoured Chief (Dr) Olugbenga Akinola Omole, the Special Adviser on Transportation to Ondo State Governor, in recognition of his contributions to the development of the State and the Church.

The award presentation ceremony held on Sunday 10th of November, 2024, at Anglican Church of His Glory, Oda Road, Akure, also gave the church opportunity to honour some other distinguished Nigerians such as an Executive Director at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde aka Abena.

Hon. Olugbenga Omole, the Akogun of Oka Akoko, attended the ceremony with his political associates, friends and well-wishers to receive the prestigious award.

The Vicar of the Church, Rev. Can. David. O. Adedoja, described Hon. Omole who is also a former State Lawmaker as a worthy Ambassador of Christ, commending his contributions to the growth of the Anglican church and the state at large.

Responding, Akogun Omole appreciated the church, promising to continue to strive harder in order to impact more on the society.

The ceremony was attended by prominent Nigerians including Dr Segun Ategbole, Bobagunwa of Oka Akoko; Barr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan, Ondo State Representative at RAMFAC as well as an APC chieftain, Dr Iyantan.
