Organized labour and the Ondo State government have reached an agreement on consequential adjustment table for the new minimum wage of N73,000 which the payment will take effect from November 1, 2024.
This is contained in a circular issued by the State Head of Service, Mr Bayo Philip and a copy obtained by SUNSHINETRUTH News.
Following the recent approval of Seventy Three Thousand Naira minimum wage for Ondo State workers by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the State Government and the Organised Labour have signed the implementation table for the new minimum wage and its consequential adjustments for all categories of workers in the State.
This development signals the commencement of full implementation of the new wage law effective from the 1st of November, 2024.
The agreement, as contained in an official Circular Letter of 12th November, 2024, was jointly signed by the Government and the Labour after a seamless negotiation.
The Labour representative at the event applauded the sincerity and genuine commitment of Governor Aiyedatiwa to workers’ welfare in the state and promised to keep giving their best on their jobs.
