Ondo Reps member Ojogo lauds defection of Delta Rep, Ibori-Suenu to APC

The lawmaker representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo federal constituency, Hon. Donald Ojogo, has applauded the defection of the lawmaker representing Ethiope East/Ethiope West Federal Constituency seat at the House of Representatives, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, from the PDP to the APC.

Hon. Ojogo described the step as a great asset and addition to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Niger-Delta region.

Ibori-Suenu who is the daughter of former Delta State Governor James Ibori, last week defected to APC and her defection has been seen as a powerful endorsement of APC’s unwavering commitment to progress, development, and transformation in Delta State.

Speaking on the defection in Akure, the Ondo state capital, Hon. Ojogo, noted that Ibori-Suenu has been making wave since her election into the House of Representatives.

Ojogo said “Ibori-Suenu as a member of the 10th National Assembly, has been making waves with her influential role and impactful contributions.

“She is currently serving as the Chairman of the House Committee on Niger-Delta, Hon. Ibori-Suenu has been at the forefront of advocating for the development and growth of the Niger Delta region.

“Her passion and dedication to the cause have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and constituents alike.

“Her recent defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC is a significant boost to the party’s chances in the region”

“Ibori-Suenu’s decision to switch parties was reportedly due to feelings of marginalization within the PDP.

“As a prominent politician in her own right, Ibori-Suenu brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the APC.

“As a two-time member of the Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, her connections to the Niger Delta region, combined with her passion for national development, make her an invaluable asset to the party.
