- Chris Dedicates Award to Owonola Equity’s Memory
At the culmination of its weeklong Press Week, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ondo State Council, yesterday, conferred on the lawmaker representing Okitipupa constituency 1, Hon Chris Ayebusiwa, the award of Distinguished Lawmaker of the Year (2024).
Premised on the recognition on the awardee’s lustrous contributions to politics, law-making, business and community services, the award was given on Friday at the Dinner and Awards night held at the NUJ Press Centre, Alagbaka, Akure, Ondo State Capital.
In his reaction, Hon Ayebusiwa said: “The recognition, in distinct ways, reassures us, that the little we’re doing in favour of constituents are not unnoticed and that they count for something. This Laurel is both humbling and inspiring; yet it is a warm reminder on the need to do more. And, yes, we are not stopping!”
Represented by his aide, Mr Dayo Akindoyo, Hon. Ayebusiwa dedicated the distinguished award to the memory of the Hon Owonola Abiodun Emmanuel (Equity), ex-chairman, Ikale North LCDA.
