The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo Registrar-Designate, Mr. Ezekiel Adeniran, bagged 2024 Sunshine State Role Model Award on Sunday, 15th December, 2024 at OSPDC Multipurpose Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure.
The award was in recognition of his exemplary life and stellar professional performance as a university administrator of no mean repute. While being presented the award, the organiser, Path News and Events, said “Mr. Adeniran is a product of intentionality with his eyes set on greatness through dint of hard work and Spartan discipline. His meteoric rise to the top of his career shows dedication, diligence and discipline.”
The organisers added, “These sterling qualities have inspired many young ones to remain focused and desire to be like him”.
Responding to the recognition, Mr. Adeniran thanked the organisers and pledged to continue to live a life of example that will not only inspire this generation but the generations yet unborn.
In his words, “I believe in living an examined life, as an unexamined life is not worth living! I am always conscious of how my actions or inactions will affect the people in the society, especially the youth. To this end, I live a life of example, professionally and personally, with a view to inspiring others to do better.
“This, I consider to be a meaningful life that is worthy of emulation”.
Mr. Ezekiel Adeniran is currently, the Deputy Registrar (Governing Council and General Administration), University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) and by God’s grace will formally be inaugurated as the Registrar of UNIMED in January, 2025.
“This is not thrust on him. He earned it through knowledge, intentionality, dedication, diligence and discipline. His recognition as 2024 Sunshine State Role Model is an attestation to the biblical saying that “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men”.
The event, which was chaired by Barrister (Hon,) D.I. Kekemeke, Vice-Chairman, APC Southwest, featured lecture, launching of award brochure and Path Leadership Foundation.
