Ondo Zone Athletics Association Honors Champions of Athletic Sports Development 2024
The Ondo Zone Athletics Association has recognized 25 exceptional individuals as the Champions of Sport Development 2024 for their outstanding contributions to sports development and youth empowerment across the Ondo Zone. These honorees were selected from various key zones under the association, including Ondo West, Ondo East, Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo, and Ore/Odigbo.
The recognized individuals have demonstrated remarkable dedication, philanthropy, leadership, and unwavering commitment to grassroots sports, nurturing youth athletes, and fostering excellence within their communities.
The Ondo Zone Athletics Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of athletics at the grassroots level across the Ondo Zone. Our aims are as follows:

- To Foster Community Engagement and Youth Empowerment
Speaking on this milestone, Barr. Adesuyi Daramola, Chairman of the Ondo Zone Athletics Association, said:

They have consistently contributed towards the advancement of grassroots sports, identifying and nurturing talents in their respective zones. Their efforts have created pathways for our youth to excel in athletics, bringing pride to the association. Today, we honor their dedication to this noble cause.”
The association also extended its heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, and the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, for their steadfast support in advancing sports development across the state. Their visionary leadership has created an enabling environment for young athletes to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Through collaborative efforts and strategic initiatives, the Ondo Zone Athletics Association has achieved significant success in promoting and empowering youth athletes, many of whom have secured medals in various competitions nationwide. This achievement underscores the association’s hard work, dedication, and the shared vision of stakeholders at all levels.
