Continue to be alive to your responsibilities —Ondo Speaker, Oladiji urges Workers

Workers of the Ondo State House of Assembly have been enjoined to be alive to their responsibilities and key into the various laudable programmes of the present administration in order to achieve a common goal.

Speaking during the 2025 first prayer meeting held at the House of Assembly Complex in Akure today,the Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly,Rt Hon(Chief) Olamide Oladiji commended the entire staff for their dedication and commitment to effective service delivery.

The event brought together members of the State House of Assembly and staff of the House to commit year 2025 into God’s hand.

Oladiji who encouraged the staff to continue to put in their best, assured that he would not relent in his oars of giving priority to their welfare at all times.

“We will try as much as possible to provide conducive working environment and do all within us to put smiles on your faces for more effective performance,”he said.

He particularly appreciated the Clerk of the House, Barrister Benjamin Jaiyeola for supporting the leadership of the House which has no doubt enhanced and promoted effective production.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Clerk expressed gratitude to the Speaker for putting smiles on the faces of the staffers despite the paucity of funds in the year 2024.

Saying that the staff would always be grateful to the Speaker for his kind gesture, Jaiyeola said that management would leave no stone unturned in recognizing hardwork and efficiency among the staff of the House.

In her words of exhortation,the general overseer of Mountain of Blessing,Ondo, Prophetess Ibitoye Abigeal (JP), urged the staff to surrender their lives to God and imbibe the spirit of humility and holiness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.

She later led prayer for Ondo State House of Assembly, House of Assembly Commission and the families of Mr.Speaker and other lawmakers, while Honourable Primate Oluwatoyin Allen led the prayer for the public servants of the House.

As a mark of honour and respect,a minute silence was observed for the demise of the late Secretary to the Government of Ondo State, Honourable Temitayo Oluwatuyi.
