The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ondo State Chapter, Comrade Ademola Odudu, has officially appointed Comrade Timileyin Ogaga as the State Chairman of Tricycle Operators, popularly known as “Keke NAPEP” or “Keke Marwa.”
The appointment ceremony, held in Akure, the state capital, was attended by prominent stakeholders in the state’s transportation sector, who came to witness and celebrate the milestone.
Addressing the gathering, Comrade Ademola Odudu urged the newly appointed chairman to prioritize proper coordination among tricycle operators and to foster peace within the association.
He emphasized the importance of professionalism and decorum, noting that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is committed to promoting peace and advancing the transportation sector, including tricycle operations, in Ondo State.
Comrade Odudu also called on all union members to cooperate with the state government, exhibit understanding, and dedicate themselves to their duties with pride to contribute meaningfully to the development of Ondo State.
In his acceptance speech, Comrade Timileyin Ogaga expressed gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa and the NURTW chairman for entrusting him with the leadership of the tricycle operators. He vowed to uphold their trust and deliver exceptional results.
Comrade Ogaga, a former legislative aide at the National Assembly with extensive experience in leadership roles at the local government level in Ondo State, also appealed to members of the tricycle operators’ association to work collaboratively with him to achieve remarkable success for the union.
